Subject: Upcoming Events at HEART till the Bank Holiday weekend

Just to draw your attention to several events we’ve got coming up over the
next week or so: go to the What’s On
page on the HEART website and
click into any event for more information about content, timings and the
cost (if any) of tickets.

Tonight Friday 25th May we have another LitFest event with Ian Parks, poet,
with music too – this is a ticketed event (tickets available on the door) in
the HEART Café, which means that the café will be closed for normal use.

Tomorrow Saturday 26th there is the next Jazz at Heart gig with the Matt
Anderson Quartet.

Next Tuesday 29th we have the first of our Travellers Tales, a new series of
illustrated talks by local residents recently returned from far-flung
places; first up is Dave Webb on his travels in the Pacific Region –
Paradise Lost: from Hawaii to Jeju Island. The Travellers Tales evenings
will be held in the café and each will be accompanied by a special themed
menu, so get here early to place your order!

Then on Wednesday 30th there is the monthly Poetry Wdnesday evening, agaoin
in the café.

And finally on Friday 1st June, two events: there’s the regular monthly Jazz
at Heart jam session in the café, while in the Shire Oak room (the main
hall) we are very pleased to have Bassa Bassa’s 25th anniversary party and
gig.
