St Mark's church, St Mark's Road

Can anyone tell me what's happening at St Mark's church, St Mark's Rd? For decades this church has stood empty and abandoned with an overgrown churchyard - not to mention a murder there a few years ago. For some months now the churchyard has been cleared - trees felled and tidied. The outside has been cleaned (it was black, black) and now it's looking wonderful, clean and restored, including the tower. It's a joy to behold but it must have cost a fortune. Nowhere can I find any information about what this is for. Anyone got any information.
