I MOVE THEREFORE I AM : YORKSHIRE'S LEGACY TRUST PROGRAMME

A SEMINAR ON DEVELOPING PROJECTS IN THE CURATED STRANDS

13th July, Bradford 10.00 till 3.00pm

Yorkshire's Legacy Trust funded programme for the regional cultural Olympiad has the working title I MOVE THEREFORE I AM (this will soon have a new name). It comprises six 'strands', which will together deliver a broadly cultural programme, but also engaging sport, physical activity and learning.   Three of these are 'Curated Strands' which means they will be made up of projects of all scales and from a diverse range of organisations, artists and other delivery partners from all over the Yorkshire region.

From this summer onwards, a programming team of the Creative Programmer and the three Associate Producers will be starting to develop projects with partners who have the best creative ideas with potential strong fit to the programme's aims and strands.  This will not involve filling in a long application form for funding, but coming to tell the programming team about your project.  It's therefore really important that anyone thinking of bringing forward a project has a good understanding of what the programme is about, what the aims and strands are, and what the process is for developing projects.   So we are organising a seminar to help potential delivery partners from the cultural, sport and physical activity sectors to learn more about the framework for the themes, for the team to answer detailed questions, and for you to start to develop your thinking and connect with potential collaborators.

Places on the workshop are free and includes lunch - but limited.  Depending on take-up we may need to limit numbers to one per organisation, so please respond providing a first delegate and any other person from your organisation you would like to be on the reserve list.   If you book and become unable to attend please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the place to somebody else.  If you book and don't show up you may not be on our favourite people list - there may be such a thing as a free lunch but we'll be really cross if we end up throwing it away.

**Please accept my apologies where cross posting occurs, but please do pass this information onto anyone you know, who may be interested**
